T.I. Defended Snoop Dogg To Preserve The Honor Of Hip-Hop Culture

By now, we should all be up to date on the timeline of beef relevant to Snoop Dogg’s spot in BADBADNOTGOOD’s “Lavender.” From the music video to Trump’s reaction, the drama took an unexpected turn and found commentary from the likes of Bow Wow and T.I.

In normal “Rubberband Man” manner, T.I. went into full roasting mode on Instagram, referring to the Commander-In-Chief as a “tangerine tanned muskrat scrotum skin, lace front possum fur wig wearing, alternative fact, atomic dog diarrhea face a** man.”

One can assume that the “Trouble Man’s” comments didn’t go over too well with Trump’s supporters, however, T.I. assured Complex that he’s not concerned. He asserts that his sole motive with the social media post was to defend the culture. “If we allow our legends to be ostracized and belittled and no one comes to their defense, that says that our culture ain’t sh**.” Of course, “culture” here refers to the hip-hop community. “Our legends are a representation of us and how significant our lifestyle is to this country,” he continued. “There’s no way you could point a finger and say something in between about Trump or anyone else without all of his supporters coming to his aid. So if they’re going to go to his aid, then why shouldn’t we protect ours?” The rest of the conversation involves a discussion of where Donald Trump would be if you eliminate the trust funds and all other riches, humbling his beginnings to those similar to the roots of most hip-hop artists. T.I.P. labels this as a celebratory cornerstone of the culture that deserves more respect.
