Vince Staples Announces ‘Big Fish Theory’ Album

Vince Staples is one of the most politically enthralling emcees of this generation. Songs like “Life me Up,” “3230,” and “Might be Wrong,” are just a few powerful tracks where the Long Beach native reminds the world of the harsh realities of marginalized communities.

Therefore, a new album from the Cutthroat member is never a bad idea. Yesterday (May 14), Staples unveiled the release date–via Twitter–for his forthcoming album, Big Fish Theory, the follow-up to 2015’s Summertime ’06.

“It’s time to go crazy,” Staples said in one tweet. Hours later, Staples linked fans to his Instagram account in which Staples revealed Big Fish Theory album cover. Then the “Norf Norf” rapper Tweeted, “Friday 12,” which will be the album’s release date at midnight.

Earlier this year, news hit the ‘Net the Staples new album would drop, and a few days later the Def Jam artists released “BagBak,” which may show up on Big Fish Theory. Also, last summer Vince released his Prima Donna EP, which contained the banger, “War Ready.”
