Navy SEAL Attempts To Break 24 Hour Push-Up World Record

/ October 3, 2012

It’s pretty safe to say that US Navy SEAL David Goggins is the real-life Superman. Appearing on The Today Show, Goggins pushed through to try & break the world record for the most pull-ups ever in a day. The charity-driven task was inspired by Goggins’ mission to raise money for the families of soldiers who have been killed. Unfortunately, he fell short of the current pull-up record—4,020 in one day—when he injured his forearm 2,588 pull-ups into the effort. This isn’t his first act of “strength-for-a-cause” either. In 2008, Goggins finished a 150-mile ultra-marathon, even pushing through the Pneumonia he acquired 90 miles into the race. According to KPBS, his work raises funds for the Special Operations Warrior Foundation. Check him out on The Today Show below: Visit for breaking news, world news, and news about the economy
