During the beginning of November, Disney announced that it was in the development stages of a sequel their popular 90s teen sitcom, Boy Meets World.
Well, the wheels are starting to move fast and two of the original characters have officially signed on to star in Girl Meets World, according to TV Line.
Ben Savage will return as Cory Matthews and Danielle Fishel will reprise her role as Topanga Lawrence for the upcoming pilot. On the original show, both played the lead characters and love interests. Their "children" on the forthcoming sequel are likely to play similar characters as the veteran cast members assume positions as the "parents."
The show ended as Cory and Topanga were married and destined to live happily ever after. Disney has not yet released details about the other members of the original cast.
