Madonna Calls For a Truce Between her and Elton John

In effort to show she can rise above the negativity, Madonna is calling for a truce between her Elton John.

"I'd like to dedicate this next song to Mr. Elton John," the pop singer said on Tuesday during a performance in Nice, France. "I know he's a big fan of it. And I know he's a big fan of mine. And you know? I forgive him. Gotta start somewhere."

The song in question, “Masterpiece,” is the centerpiece of John’s scrutiny. The song beat out Elton John’s duet with Lady Gaga at this year’s Golden Globe Awards, prompting the English singer to peg her as a “f-cking fairground stripper,” in an Australian interview.

John also made light of her MDNA tour as well, which ended in Nice Tuesday night: "She's such a nightmare ... her tour has been a disaster and it couldn't have happened to a bigger c---."

John has yet to comment or retract his statements. Check out the dedication performance below.
