“GIRLS” Gives Icona Pop a Cameo in Cocaine Episode

/ January 30, 2013

Did you watch the latest episode of “GIRLS” last Sunday? Of course you did. Two Golden Globe awards prove it. Viewers find entertainment in the show’s protagonist Hannah (played by Lena Dunham) and her shocking/horrifying feats, including taking a bunch of coke in an effort to score writing material for a freelance position. While coked up and raving at Greenhouse, an uplifting and in-your-face track plays in the background featuring head banging beats and girls screaming “I DON’T CARE!”

This addicting tune is actually the single, “I Love It” (above) spawned from Swedish synthpop duo Icona Pop, comprised of singers/producers Caroline Hjelt and Aino Jawo, and we guarantee it will be popping up in playlists across the country especially after Sunday’s endorsement. Plus, they’re on tour right now with Passion Pit and Matt & Kim. See schedule here.

What do you predict will be the next dance track in “GIRLS?”
