2Pac, feat. The Outlawz, “They Don’t Give A Fuck About Us”

This wasn’t released until 2002 on ‘Pac’s posthumous album, Better Dayz, but the message was still loud and clear: The West Coast rapper didn’t agree with the way the nation treated his people—and he was never afraid to say it.

Jadakiss, “Why”

Among the many questions the self-proclaimed Al Queda Jada posed on this inquisitive song: “Why did Bush knock down the towers?” Media outlets everywhere thrust Jada into the spotlight and questioned his loyalties to America for posing the question.

Immortal Technique, feat. Mos Def, “Bin Laden”

Jadakiss wasn’t the only rapper who questioned 9/11 in his lyrics. On this eyebrow-raising track, Immortal Technique and Mos Def let Bin Laden off the hook for the September 11, 2001 attacks and questioned whether it was actually an inside job.
