The 2012 NBA Draft had social media networks popping last night, as history was made.
Anthony Davis and Michael Kidd-Gilchrist of Kentucky were the first and second draft picks overall, respectively, marking it the first time two players were picked from the same team consecutively.
Davis, often mocked for his unibrow, was drafted by the New Orleans Hornets, while Kidd-Gilchrist went to the Charlotte Bobcats.
“No. I was shocked at first,” Kidd-Gilchrist said, revealing he and Davis did have any idea of the history the Kentucky Wildcats were going to make that night. “I was shocked. But no, we didn’t. We didn’t at all.”
NBA’s official YouTube channel released a quick re-cap of the night’s historic moment, but if you’re looking for a full recap, head over the ESPN to relive what went down.
