2013 Grammys: Taylor Swift Rips on Her Ex During Opening Performance (Video)

2013 Grammys: Taylor Swift Rips on Her Ex During Opening Performance (Video)

Charley Rogulewski Posted February 10, 2013

Taylor Swift opened up the 55th Grammy Awards with a big stage spectacle that was part circus, part Alice in Wonderland and part 2003 White Stripes/Annie Leibovitz photo shoot.

Surrounded by a black, white and red color scheme, Swift wore a white ringmaster's outfit and updated the lyrics of her break-up anthem "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together" to match her latest ex, British boy band singer Harry Styles.

During the track, written supposedly after her breakup with actor Jake Gyllenhaal, the singer adlibs in the middle, but switched up the words for the Grammys. “So he calls me up and he’s like, ‘I still love you.’ And I'm like, 'I'm sorry. I'm busy opening up the Grammys, and we are never, ever getting back together. Like ever," Swift spoke with a British accent, a nod to Styles.

"Independence is something I’ve always needed, from when I was young," Swift told VIBE recently, "but I love the idea of romance and falling in love. I’ve never really had a long relationship. So that’s something I think about for the future. It’s an interesting part of my personality: Part of me just wants to be alone." Her relationship with Styles lasted two months. Guess, this means they're never ever getting back together.
