John Legend and wife Chrissy Teigen just hit the 2014 Grammys red carpet with a newlywed glow. Dapper in a navy Gucci tux, Legend chatted with Ryan Seacrest about his wedding in Italy and his latest album Love In the Future, executive produced by Kanye West. Seacrest asked the singer what West intended for the album’s sound.
“He just wanted it to be sexy,” Legend said. “And to bring R&B back to what it used to be, you know?”
Seacrest replied, “Well, that shouldn’t have been hard for you,” and we would agree.
Legend also shared a fun fact about his recent nuptials: Stevie Wonder sung “Ribbon in the Sky” for the couple. He also said that he, ironically, used to sing Wonder’s song for other people’s weddings as his first paid gig.
The singer’s Love in the Future is nominated for Best R&B Album, and he is also scheduled to perform at tonight’s show.
