Press play on these three dance music videos in case you missed them this week:
Cary Nokey “Burn The House Down” (Unofficial Music Video)
Who knew grocery shopping could look so good? Electro alterna-rock group Cary Nokey work it out and turn it up in the unofficial music video to their future-funk summer anthem “Burn The House.” Things heat up quickly as group members - 8 bit, Ally N-Da-City and Tibbie Young – dance and sing against a colorful backdrop of beautiful models, high-fashion costumes and stunning skyline scenery. Own it.
Summer’s fast-rising group Smallpools dropped their first music video this week on Vevo of their breakout single “Dreaming.” The Passion Pit-esque tune, featuring an upbeat tempo and swooning chorus line, is played to a backdrop of poolside shenanigans and beer pong skill sets as the lead singer is caught in a “Groundhog Day” reality where he repeatedly finds himself in these situations. Hmm, that actually may not be such a bad dream after all. Own it.
Paul Oakenfold and Azelia Banks “Venus” (Parody Video)
In this well-dubbed parody of the United Nations debate of who should be in DJ Mag’s Top 100 poll, Paul Oakenfold sneaks in his latest single “Venus” featuring Azelia Banks. Part of an album that took six years in the making, Paul’s signature synthpop production with Azelia’s flowing raps make for a compelling argument for the top spot in DJ Mag’s list. Listen.
