5 Reasons Why Men Should See 'Sex And The City 2'

Thought the universe of Cosmos, Jimmy Choos and tutus was a place only inhabited by women? Well, you’re woefully misinformed. To be a truly evolved, male specimen of the 21^st century, it helps to be fluent in the language of Carrie Bradshaw (Sarah Jessica Parker), Miranda Hobbes (Cynthia Nixon), Samantha Jones (Kim Cattrall) and Charlotte York (Kristin Davis). Forget a chick flick, here are five reasons why men need to put seeing Sex And The City 2 at the top of their ‘to do’ lists.—Ronke Idowu Reeves

Reason 5: Tons of Women Will Be at the Theater— Ladies of all ages, creeds and colors go ga ga over ‘The Girls.’ So once your fellow audience members realize you’re not gay (homosexual men ‘heart’ SATC too) you’ll instantly appear deeper, more sensitive and more knowledgeable about the opposite sex than you actually are. Really.

Reason 4: SATC  Offers Plenty for “A Guy’s Guy”— The SATC films are also populated by attractive, cool and aloof straight guys who always get the “It” girls even though they behave badly. In the first movie, the legendary Mr. Big (Chris Noth) stood Carrie up at the altar, good guy hubby Steve (David Eigenberg) cheated on wifey Miranda and mysterious neighbor Dante (Gilles Marini) tried to entice Samantha into joining him and a galpal in an ménage a trois. Stay tuned to see what the bad boys of SATC 2 will be up to next.

 Reason 3:  It’s Cougars on Parade—Actresses Parker, Cattrall, Nixon and Davis combined with sexy and revealing fashions by costume designer Patricia Field equals lots of eye-popping visual candy. Even if none of the actresses in SATC 2 are your particular type even you’ll have to admit for 40 plus women they all look pretty hot in nearly every scene of this film. (Note: This is also the same effect the real women in your life are striving for when they take an eternity ‘getting ready’ to go places even as mundane as the laundromat.)

Reason 2:  Admit it, You Were  a Fan of SATC When It Was on HBO— Lots of men, through their girlfriends, wives, exes, gal pals and booty calls became big closet fans of this franchise back when it was a TV series. Yeah, it was probably more for the ‘sex’ than the ‘city’, but not only did dudes learn something about women, they also enjoyed getting into our heads a little bit along the way.

Reason 1:  There’s Potential For a Hookup After The Movie— Picture being surrounded by gorgeous women of every age and nationality, each one dressed to the nines, all sans dates and looking for their own versions of Mr. Right, Mr. Right-Now and Mr. Bigs all at one movie theater. Some are even channeling the characters in the film and want a cinematic experience of their very own. Now, imagine you’re one the few guys at this theater, outnumbered by pretty girls 10 to 1 and... you’re still reading this? You haven’t bought a ticket yet?
