50 Cent Faces Arraignment On Charges of Domestic Violence
After being slapped with charges for domestic violence against his ex-girlfriend, rapper 50 Cent will now take the case to court.
Fif, whose real name is Curtis Jackson, was scheduled to face arraignment Monday (August 5) on charges that he allegedly kicked her and trashed her condo following an argument. If convicted, the G-Unit leader rapper could face up to five years in jail and $46,000 in fines, Billboard reports.
His ex-girlfriend told police that Jackson began destroying property at her Toluca Lake condo before she locked herself in a bedroom. Los Angeles City Attorney Mike Feuer said the 37-year-old faces five criminal charges, including one count of domestic violence and four counts of vandalism. Authorities estimated about $7,100 in damage to the home.
