50 Cent Recruits Boi-1da, Alex Da Kid, Just Blaze And Eminem For New Album

Posted July 5, 2011

Rap music heavy hitter, 50 cent has been working hard since his May feature in VIBE’s International issue, prepping and promoting the release of his fifth studio album.

Though the LP, which is no longer titled, “Black Magic” has yet to be scheduled to be released, the G-UNIT headliner recently stopped by SiriusXM’s Shade 45 to discuss his excitement behind his new project and the hitmakers he’s worked with thus far:

“I can’t wait till my album comes out. I think things will shift,” Fif revealed to DJ Whoo Kid during the interview. “Everybody who fell in love with what I fell in love with in hip-hop will respond to it because it’s got the right tones on it.”

The Queens, NY native, has already recorded 43 songs from the upcoming album and has been working with producers, such as Boi-1da, Alex Da Kid, and Just Blaze, “I did two (songs) with Just Blaze, a Boi-1da joint, and I did something with Alex Da Kid. I got some heat.”

The music mogul also enlisted help from longtime friend, Eminem: “I did four songs in Detroit with Em. We made two that are definite singles and the other two are the kinds of records that we been making, more aimed at my core audience, more aggressive, more of a different kind of energy to it,” he explained.

“Outlaw”, 50’s first official single, produced by Cardiak, is currently making its rounds on the airwaves. When asked how he chooses a single, the rapper, who is turning 36 tomorrow had this to say, “I say, which one makes me feel good when I hear it? That’s the one I’m keeping.” –Tyler McDermott
