50 Cent Still Hasn't Sold His Connecticut Mansion

50 Cent Still Hasn't Sold His Connecticut Mansion

Posted November 20, 2009

50 Cent's enormous Connecticut mansion has been on sale for months now, and the rap superstar is having a really hard time trying to unload it.

The home boasts 19 bedrooms, 37 bathrooms and was once owned by former boxing champion Mike Tyson. It's so massive, Fif' says, its hard to really call it home, which is why he wants to sell it.

However, it's becoming a harder task than he thought.

"That's why I'm downsizing, I need somewhere where I can feel at home. It feels like I'm in a hotel," 50 said in a recent interview with HollyScoop.com. "There's a nightclub. You know how people have like a focus group? I have that for my music, like, 1,500 people and play it (new songs). The neighbors are so far away they can't even hear us."

50 also wants to downsize because he's tired of the two-hour commute to New York City almost every day.

The 50,000-square-foot mansion is located in the Hartford metropolitan area suburb Farmington. In addition to the nightclub, it also has a gym, billiards rooms, racquetball courts, and even its own lake.

50 Cent originally bought the home for $4.1 million. However, it needed a major overhaul after purchasing it. 50 said it had "a Miami Vice feel" and spent $6 million on renovations and repairs.

Its been on sale for over two years, before pulled off the market in May. It was eventually relisted, and still won't budge. The initial $18.5 million price dropped to $14.5 million late last year. Then, in July, he dropped it down to $10.9 million.

If you're in the market for a MANSION, 50 has one for sale!
