Sad news flooded timelines Wednesday (Sept. 26) as the self-proclaimed "Mrs. Bieber" passed away.
According to the Examiner, the six-year-old superfan of Canadian pop sensation Justin Bieber named Avalanna Routh died in her home in the presence of loved ones. Routh was made famous after the staff of Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in Boston, who was treating her for an atypical teratoid rhabdoid tumor, created a faux wedding to the "Right Here" singer, hence the nickname.
Her family took to Twitter to confirm her passing: "Our darling Avalanna went to Heaven this morning. Oh Avalanna, the brightest star - you took our hearts with you, our greatest Love;(."
Routh was able to spend several hours with the Biebs in New York City after the popularity of the fake nuptials. He even brought her onstage at a concert, where he serenaded her with "One Less Lonely Girl." Bieber tweeted his condolences. "just got the worst news ever. one of the greatest spirits i have ever known is gone. please pray for her family and for her. RIP Avalanna. i love you."
