New York City Police Commissioner Ray Kelly isn't too thrilled about the fastest gang growing in New York.
Luckily, the street gang whose aliases are "Bad Barbies" and "One Seven Hoes" have been dismantled by the NYPD. Out of the gang's 100 Trinitarios, 40 of them were arrested and charged with murder, racketeering and drug offenses. Detectives are now looking into nine murders and 24 attempted murders of rival gang members in NY and Yonkers.
"We weren't surprised to learn that the Trinitarios were up to no good in the Bronx," Commissioner Kelly said, according to the New York Daily News."But the Bad Barbies? Who knew? Maybe it's a sign of the times that gender is no bar when it comes to murder, robbery and other crimes."
Alleged leader Maria Mejia was charged with murder with relations to the stabbing of a Crips gang member at a McDonald’s in 2005.
