Have it your way, huh? Burger King admits to selling horse meat in their UK stores, after strong denials from the Home of the Whopper.
An Irish processing company was apparently making tainted ground meat for Burger King, which including horse. Now the Daily Mail thinks the burger maker may have been looking to cover their tracks - no horsing around!
The processing company used illegal "cut-offs" to make their burgers, which included bits of horse. The contamination has been going on since the middle of 2012, at least, and now Burger King admits to horse meat in their products.
In a statement, Burger King admits to horse meat, saying in part: ‘Within the last 36 hours, we have established that Silvercrest used a small percentage of beef imported from a non-approved supplier in Poland."
Will you ever be able to eat another Whopper? Or will you say "neigh?"
