Dennis Rodman.may have inadvertently placed himself on North Korean leader Kim Jong Un's bad side.
During a Tuesday (Mar.19) interview with The Sun, the retired basketball talked about Kim's daughter which was previously regarded as a major state secret.
“[Ri Sol Ju] kept talking about their beautiful baby daughter,” Rodman told The Sun of Kim's wife.
The Huff Post Reports:
There has been previous speculation that the couple had a baby girl, but Pyongyang has yet to officially acknowledge any potential heirs to Kim Jong Un's regime. Indeed, North Korea Leadership Watch editor Michael Madden told the Washington Free Beacon that the North Korean government "would have made an announcement” if the child was a boy.
A recent United Nations report found that more than a quarter of North Korean children suffer stunted growth as a result of chronic malnutrition. Studies have found that young North Korean women tend to stand around 5 feet 2 inches tall, and can be as much as three inches shorter than South Korean women.
Last month, Rodman traveled to North Korea on a "basketball diplomacy trip" to meet wit the Kim Jong Un. The retired NBA star praised the controversial leader for his hospitality.
