Lowdown on Diplo: Mad Decent Label

Spearheaded by Wesley Pentz, better known as Diplo, the Philly-born and bred (LA-buttered and jellied) label Mad Decent hosts the part bangin' DJs you need to pay attention to. Since its birth in 2006, the label has signed and released music by Santigold, Lil’ Jon, Rusko, Rusko, Dillon Francis, Majer Lazer and Zeds Dead. Additionally, Diplo and Mad Decent have put together an annual block party, showcasing talent from the label. For the first three years, the free festival was only exclusive to Philadelphia, but in 2010 the party spread across the nation to include Chicago, Los Angeles and New York.
