Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban might want to chill out on the referees—that is, if he doesn't want to keep getting fined.

According to Sports Illustrated, the NBA has fined Cuban $50,000 for making public comments critical of the league’s officiating. The Associated Press reported that the fine, which was not formally announced by the league, was confirmed by a league spokesperson.

Prior to the Mavs loss to the Hornets the other night, Cuban told reporters that he believed the referees had incorrectly officiated a key late play in a previous overtime loss to the Heat on Wednesday night.

Accorting to a detailed report, Cuban is said to have racked up over $1 million in fines by the NBA during his time as owner of the Mavericks—dating back to 2000.

Given his reported $2.5 billion net worth, we're pretty sure this won't be his last fine.
