Did OJ Simpson really have a Superbowl party in prison?
Apparently, the disgraced football star is one of the few inmates at the Lovelock Correctional Center in Nevada that owns his own TV. Prisoners with enough commissary funds are allowed to purchase such electronic items while serving their time. Simpson is serving a 33-year sentence for kidnapping and armed robbery.
“If you have the money, you can buy a TV at the inmate store and put it in your cell,” Simpson’s producer friend Norman Pardo said. The NY Post reports that Simpson gathered his buddies up in his cell to watch the big game. “He’s like the Godfather of the prison now,” Pardo said of the one-time NFL great.
The producer is currently working on a movie about The Juice titled “Unpromotable."
“It shows what it’s like to promote the most unpromotable man on the planet,” Pardo said.
