Marvel's non-Avengers posse film Guardians Of The Galaxy has been adding pieces from all-over-the-place, and now it seems Lee Pace is set to play one of the movie's villains.
Chris Pratt originally beat Pace to the post for the key role of Star-Lord in Guardians Of The Galaxy, but Lee Pace's skills as a thespian clearly impressed director James Gunn as they're now in talks to bring him on-board as a bad guy. The Lincoln, Hobbit star joins former WWE behemoth Dave Bautista (Drax the Destroyer), Zoe Saladana (Gamora) and the aforementioned Pratt in the space adventure whose identity is an evil secret.
While The Wrap's report doesn't specify anything else, yesterday's casting notice for Ophelia Lovibond as an aide to The Collector makes us think the powerful, ancient being could prove to be more of a problem for the Guardians than originally thought.
The tie-in to Marvel's Phase Three initiative is set to kick off shooting in the United Kingdom this June and will hit screens nationwide on August 1, 2014.
