Alicia Keys, Usher, Fun. and More Added to Inaugural Ball Lineup

Iyana Robertson Posted January 11, 2013

Although President Obama's second inauguration has been slimmed down from the over-the-top celebration of 2008, some of music's brightest stars will still be in attendance.

Following yesterday's announcement of performances by Beyoncé and Kelly Clarkson at the official ceremony in the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 21, a few more artists have been added to the festivities. Alicia Keys, Usher, Stevie Wonder, Fun. and Katy Perry have been added to the musical roster to perform at the Kids' Inaugural Concert on Jan. 19.

"Vice President Biden and I are honored to have these wonderfully talented musical artists perform at the Inaugural ceremony," Obama said yesterday after the first performance announcements. "Their music is often at the heart of the American story and speaks to folks across the country."

Other acts have been reportedly scheduled to perform during the inaugural events, including Smokey Robinson, Marc Anthony, Far*East Movement and Nick Cannon. The cast of "Glee" and the Soul Children of Chicago choir are also scheduled to take the stage. The Inaugural Committee has not confirmed for which events these artists will appear, however. First Lady Michelle Obama and Dr. Jill Biden will host the Kids Inaugural Concert. Honoring the troops, this concert will be one of just three major events, including the Commander-in-Chief's ball and the main Inaugural Ball.

Obama will officially be sworn in at the 57th Presidential Inauguration on Jan. 21.
