Vasyl Lomachenko (1-0-0, 1 KO), a two-time Ukrainian Olympic gold medalist and amateur sensation, talks with HBO correspondent Kieran Mulvaney about choosing to fight for the world title. Many are baffled for the simple fact that this will only be Lomachenko's second professional fight, and for him to fight in such an important and intense fight, many are questioning what is Lomachenko thinking.
"I'm not worried about it at all, because it was solely my decision nobody pushed me to try and fight for the world title in my second fight so I'm absolutely ready for it," says Lomachenko.
Titled as one of the best amateur boxers ever, Lomachenko is confident enough that he will be able to last all 12 rounds ... if needed. Lomachenko will be fighting against Orlando Salido (40-12-2, 28 KOs), the former WBO (World Boxing Organization) Featherweight title holder.
Chavez Jr. vs Vera II and Lomachenko vs. Salido happens Sat., Mar. 1 at 9:45PM ET/PT on HBO.
