With 100 days of filming in the can, director Marc Webb wrapped up filming for The Amazing Spider-Man 2, and took to Twitter to share his enthusiasm.
Webb has been sharing tidbits from the Marvel project since filming began, so it's only right that he would use social media as a means to celebrate the end of production. The director uploaded a short video to his account which shows star Andrew Garfield looking a bit distraught on the top of a building. Who wouldn't be when you're that high up in the sky, right?
The sped-up version of a real shot that appears in the movie seems like it was done by using a miniature camera attached to the main camera. You can see for yourself below:
Filmed in downtown Manhattan, Garfield sits upon the Manhattan Municipal Building in contemplative thought. New York, as fans and comic book nerds alike would know, is the main backdrop of Spider-Man's "friendly" neighborhood, so Webb could place the actors in the actual iconic locations in New York City that appear in the comic books. With the process complete, it's now off to post-production for The Amazing Spider-Man 2. Will we be looking forward to seeing "100 Days of Editing," via Marc Webb's Twitter page? Could be possible!
Along with the aforementioned Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, Jamie Foxx, Dane DeHaan, Paul Giamatti, and Chris Cooper all star in The Amazing Spider-Man 2, which swings into theaters on May 2, 2014.
