VIBE: What was your first screen-name and email address?
Bow Wow: [Laughs] Wow. My first AIM name was something simple, LBW204. I always thought AIM was for girls, so I never really got into making up a creative screen name. [My email] was email@example.com, straight off the Sidekick.
Do you have a hidden talent?
I’m really good with changing my voice. I can do a lot of animation, whether it’s high-pitched, low-pitched, sounding like an African, whatever. One of my boys filmed me like three years ago when I was mocking [Lil] Wayne and 50 Cent.
What’s your favorite Ice Cube film?
Friday was epic, especially in the urban world. It’s crazy ‘cause Brandon T. Jackson asked me if [Lottery Ticket] was like Friday. It’s hard to compare the new classic to the classic. I try my best not to do that, even with albums. But if anything, [Lottery Ticket’s] a [Friday] of today. It’s going to be one of those films that people will definitely adapt to from all ages.
If you had to star in a reality TV show, what would be your format?
I stay away from [reality TV]. That show [Basketball Wives]… to me they’re all ignorant. That’s the vibe I get watching grown women hatin’ the way they hatin’. All money ain't good money. I don’t mind laughing at people make idiots of themselves, but I don’t want to be looked at as an idiot on TV. I’m straight.
Ever been accused of having a Napolean complex?
[Asks friend: ‘What the fuck is that?’] Oh hell nah! Jermaine [Dupri] might have that, but not me [Laughs.]
So it’s not a myth?
It’s real because there’s a lot of short people who tough. If you look at all the mobster movies, the Italian guys be short, but they call all the shots. [People tease me] of course, but my money’s tall so I don’t care. —Tracy Garraud
