Aruba Launches Electric Festival With Dirty Dutch

/ June 27, 2013

You may not need a reason to want to jet set to Aruba for a weekend or week, but thanks to the Renaissance Aruba Resort & Casino, there is a whole slew of new and exciting plans in store for us music lovers across the globe. Kicking off this fall, Aruba will become host to the first ever Electric Festival, the chief global and annual electronic music conference in the Caribbean. From September 6-8, Aruba will play host to the first edition of the music conferences fueled by Amsterdam Dance Event. There will be studio sessions, workshops and exhibitions for DJs, producers, artists and fans and more than enough dance parties all taking place around the beautiful island.

Calling the venture a “Summer of Discovery,” event planners have one mission in mind: to get guests out and discover something. Being a Dutch Island, Aruba feels strong ties to the dance music industry in the Netherlands. The country has provided us with the likes of Tieso, Armin Van Burren and Ferry Corsten, and EF will prove that Aruba is on the path to become a leading musical destination. The debut festival will feature performances by DJ Chuckie, Hardwell and Slash, but this is only the first round of announcements so we can expect many more when Phase 2 is revealed.
