Ashton Kutcher to Play Steve Jobs in Upcoming Indie Biopic

Ashton Kutcher has been cast to play Steve Jobs in an upcoming indie biopic, Variety reports.

“Jobs,” written by Matt Whiteley and directed by Joshua Michael Stern (“Swing Vote”), will follow Jobs' life from hippie youth to his legendary stint as Apple co-founder.

Production is slated to begin sometime in May while Kutcher takes a break from his role as Internet billionaire Walter Schmidt on “Two and a Half Men.”

Sony Pictures is also preparing a Steve Jobs film, which will be an adaptation of Walter Isaacon’s best-selling biography, “Steve Jobs.” —Stephanie Long
