Baby Mama: 9-Year-Old Reportedly Gives Birth In Mexico

A 9-year-old girl is reportedly a new mom in Mexico.

According to the Telegraph, the child, identified as 'Dafne,' had a c-section and delivered a 5.7 pound baby at Zoquipan Hospital in Jalisco.

The girl's mother says the father is a 17-year-old boy who has since run away.

“Due to her young age, we don’t know if she is being entirely truthful,” Lino Ginzalez Corona, spokesperson at Jalisco State Prosecutor’s Office, said in a press conference. Corona added that authorities are “still open to the possibility of rape or child sex abuse.”

Dafne 8-years-old when she was impregnated and is one of 11 other children. Her parents were unable to watch her while they worked.

This isn't the first case of baby mama drama. A 9-year-old Chinese girl allegedly had a baby boy in 2010 while a Colombian girl gave birth last year.
