It may be less than a month to Halloween but the calendar didn’t stop a man dressed in a Batman ensemble from fighting in the name of justice…or rather, obstructing it.

According to Yahoo! News, Michigan police arrested ‘Batman’ because he wouldn’t leave them alone during an investigation Saturday (Sept. 29).

“He wouldn’t clear the scene, and we had a canine out there, and he kept screwing up the scent,” State Police Sgt. Jeff Gorno told the Petoskey News-Review. “He said he wanted to help us look for the driver.”

It turns out the self-made dark knight (real name Mark Wayne Williams) had a series of offenses. The 33-year-old was also arrested last year after authorities received a report that a man dressed as Batman was on the roof of a local business. He was sentenced to six months of probation, during which he was forbidden to wear costumes.
