One of the singers from the legendary Bee Gees, Robin Gibb is in a coma this morning (April 15) after contracting pneumonia in his battle against colon and liver cancer.
His website, RobinGibb.com confirmed the report, stating, "Sadly the reports are true that Robin has contracted pneumonia and is in a coma. We are all hoping and praying that he will pull through. Because of this situation, Robin's website is temporarily unavailable. Sorry for any inconvenience."
Gibb had bowel surgery 18 months ago for an unrelated condition, but a tumor was found and he was diagnosed with cancer. Since then he hasn't been able to enjoy the things he loved best, including the Tuesday premiere of his first classical work, "The Titanic Requiem", composed with his son Robin John-Gibb to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the sinking of the luxury liner back on April 15, 1912.
The 62-year-old is reportedly in a hospital in Chelsea surrounded by family who are keeping a bedside vigil. Keep him in your prayers.
