The Ickey Shuffle. The Lambeau Leap. Terrell Owens signing a football with a Sharpie he kept in his sock. Chad Johnson proposing to a cheerleader. Do these victory laps sound familiar? Sometimes the touchdown celebration becomes more memorable than the actual pass or six points in the end zone. That was the case until 2006, when the NFL hit players with the “excessive celebration” rule, where a team would be charged an automatic 15-yard penalty if any player left his feet or used a prop, like the football, a towel, pom poms or cell phone (we’re looking at you Joe Horn) after a TD.

With the Denver Broncos and the Seattle Seahawks still set to battle it out at Super Bowl XLVIII on a Feb. 2 at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey, we take a look back at some of the best touchdown dance moves in the game. From Victor Cruz to Warren Sapp to countless others, check out our medley of the best touchdown dances moves of all time above.
