BET wants a piece of that reality TV pie and who can blame them. The network is bolstering its original programming by adding three new reality shows, including one starring Nelly and another one with Keyshia Cole.
Nelly's untitled project will highlight the rapper's life in the studio, his involvement as co-owner of the Charlotte Bobcats, and the domestic side of things as he raises his biological children and his late sister's kids. Shantel Jackson, Nelly's current girlfriend who's also Floyd Mayweather's ex, will make an appearance on the show. (But will there be a Floyd cameo?)
Meanwhile, Keyshia Cole will appear in her third (yes, third, count it) show for BET. Cole previously starred in Keyshia Cole: The Way It Is and Keyshia & Daniel: Family First. Expect more emoness this time around, as audiences get a peak into Cole's rocky marriage with NBA player Daniel Gibson and her ever-changing career.
Last but not least is BET's reality show with Tyler Perry regulars David and Tamela Mann. The married couple will give viewers a look at their happy home life with their four adult children and relationships with Hollywood pals. David and Tamela Mann are executive producing their series with Entertainment One, the same team that's pushing Nelly's show.
Each show will feature eight hour-long episode's, with the exception of Cole's, which will air six half-hour programs. The additions are set to supplement BET's lone reality show, Sunday's Best.
