'Gleeks' may be seeing a new face in the line-up of its favorite sing-song comedy.
Singer Bette Midler addressed the rumor of her joining the cast of Fox's "Glee" on Access Hollywood and says she has yet to receive a call from co-creator Ryan Murphy. "I don't know. [Ryan Murphy] never called me," she said. "He mentioned it, but... I'm still waiting for the call. But, it's fine!"
She says that the "Glee" co-founder was at the same Michael Kors event, where he allegedly made the public offer. "Ryan was also honored that night and he said [in his speech], 'If Bette Midler's in the house I want to invite her onto 'Glee,'" she recounted. "And I went, 'OK!'"
While Ryan has not issued an official statement, don't be surprised if the "From A Distance" singer comes to a small screen near you. For now, catch her alongside Billy Crystal in "Parental Guidance" hitting theatres Christmas Day. Peep the trailer below.
