Congratulations may be in order for Mr. And Mrs. Carter. Various sites from Mediatakeout.com to the Huffington Post are reporting that Beyoncé is pregnant. If the news is true, this would be the first child for the Grammy-Award winning singer and husband and hip hop mogul Jay-Z.

In the past, Beyoncé has spoken openly about the sobering realities of having a baby, a reality the former lead singer of Destiny’s Child has seen first hand after watching her younger sister Solange raise her son Daniel. The omnipresent, career-minded B has even appeared ambivalent during various interviews when asked about the prospect of having kids, while Jay has made it known he wants to hear the pitter-patter of tiny feet.

Word is Beyoncé—who has been in the news for appearing in Lady Gaga’s controversial video “Telephone” and was recently at the center of a headline-making online online debate that had her being compared to late music icon Michael Jackson—is expected to work throughout her pregnancy, of which Jay is said to be pretty excited about.
