Beyoncé to Star, Direct New Documentary on Her Life and Career

Adelle Platon Posted August 2, 2012

Just like her husband Jay-Z, Beyoncé is looking to expand her already lengthy résumé.

According to the L.A. Times, the “Love On Top” singer and her representatives at agency ICM have recently been shopping a nonfiction film to Hollywood studios about the celebrity’s life and career. About 20 minutes of footage has been shown to distributors.

An anonymous source says the movie is a mix of music and personal study, combining concert footage with confessional interview. Knowles not only stars in the flick but directs it, and will also take on the role of producer.

Should the film get the green light, Bey will join the growing list of stars including Katy Perry, Justin Bieber and Miley Cyrus to have their lives play out on the big screen. Between motherhood and marriage, we’re sure the music star will have more than enough content to make a movie possible.
