Beyoncé will be starring in the lead role in a new HBO documentary about...herself.
Set to hit the small screens Feb. 16, Bey gives her hive a close look into her life as a singer, mother, performer and mogul. It will combine footage of her onstage performances with private behind-the-scenes moments, THR reports.
"HBO has a history of pushing every boundary with class and authenticity," said the 16-time Grammy winner in a statement. "Some of my favorite shows are on HBO, so I am excited that my film will be part of its bold programming. This film was so personal to me, it had to have the right home."
The "Love On Top" singer will also executive produce the film, which "sheds light on her childhood in Houston, with home movies revealing the close bond she built with her family and charts the challenges Beyoncé felt when she decided to manage her career and build her own company, Parkwood Entertainment," HBO said.
