Beyoncé's father, Mathew Knowles, is singing a familiar tune after being hit with a $1.2 million bill, TMZ reports.
Bey's former popager raked in the dough handling his pop star princess' career but the IRS says he still owes some tax cash amounting to upwards of a milli.
According to a suit from Uncle Sam, Knowles owes mula from the years 2010 ($485,575.95) and 2011 ($728,004.89) adding up to a grand total of $1,213,580.84. The lofty sum comes from the "Back To Black" singer's successful career during those two years, including her bank-breaking I Am... World Tour and DVD release in 2010 along with her fourth studio album 4 that dropped in '11.
In Mrs. Carter's HBO documentary Life Is But A Dream that aired earlier this year, one-half of Forbes' billionaire couple opened up about firing her dad. “I’m feeling so very empty because of the relationship with my dad," she said. "And I’m so fragile at this point and I feel like my soul has been tarnished.”
Knowles then told his side in a revealing interview with The Sun. "This was not a normal ending of a business agreement," he said. "This was a dad and a daughter and it was incredibly painful and it had some difficulties. But I try to always have a positive mind about things."
Hopefully his accounts won't go into the negative after he pays off that hefty suit.
