Beyoncé proved that she was capable of crafting a masterpiece when she dropped her surprise visual album on Dec. 13 but in her latest photo map offering, the 32-year-old songstress remixed an art classic to the dismay of some.
Yoncé shared a picture of herself on Instagram in a body-hugging lime green skirt posing on top of a juice bar with the iconic "Last Supper" mural by Leonardo DaVinci posted behind her.
Bey is sitting in place of Jesus in the middle of the painting, giving more weight to her Hive's nickname for the singer "Beysus." Her snapshot, which has garnered over 200,000 likes, has sparked outrage among the social community.
One user wrote, "So disrespectful of her to do.. Replacing Jesus for herself so wrong!"
The stir comes after Jay Z's leading lady was slammed for using an audio sample from the Challenger disaster.
"My heart goes out to the families of those lost in the Challenger disaster," she said in a statement. "The song 'XO' was recorded with the sincerest intention to help heal those who have lost loved ones and to remind us that unexpected things happen, so love and appreciate every minute that you have with those who mean the most to you."
