Times have been tough for Beyonce's father Matthew Knowles since the singer fired him as her manager back in 2011.
While his income has taken a mighty blow since, a Los Angeles Superior Court judge has reduced his hefty $12,000-a-month child support payment to roughly $2,500 a month for his 4-year-old son with actress Alexsandra Wright, the Associated Press reports. The judge also ruled that he had to pay Wright's legal fees, which cost $15,000.
Wright recently grabbed headlines, saying that she was forced to rely on public assistance due to Knowles owing $32,000 in child support. She spoke out last week on Inside Edition about how Knowles apparently suggested she hand over her son to Beyonce and Jay Z to raise.
“I don’t expect Beyoncé to take accountability. It’s not her problem. It’s not her situation,” she said. “Beyoncé and Jay Z have never attacked me. They’ve [never]done anything wrong to me. They’ve never been negative at all.” she said.
Bey's mother, Tina, filed for divorce from Matthew in 2009 after he had an 18-month affair with Wright.
