Beyonce Wants 'To Be Regular' On Next Album, Says The-Dream

Beyonce Wants 'To Be Regular' On Next Album, Says The-Dream

VIBE Posted February 28, 2013

Beyoncé and singer/songwriter The-Dream created pop magic with “Single Ladies (Put A Ring On It)," so of course they’re linking up again for Bey’s next solo album.

In Bey’s HBO documentary, Life Is But A Dream, the singer stripped down her diva layers, going makeup-less and showing her vulnerable side. Speaking to MTV News recently, The-Dream said her music will likely reflect a similar back-to-basics agenda as well. "She's just shooting to be regular and okay,” he said, “and not trying to appease everybody.”

Explaining the pair’s creative process, Dream also said Bey's not restricting her music to just one sound.

"There's no particular sound that I think we're shooting for--we're just trying to make music that feels good," said Dream. "If you seen the HBO thing, which was great, we had been talking about doing something that showcases who she is and what she wants because we see those figures that are so out of the stratosphere.”

King Bey's still-untitled solo album has no release date yet, but the singer will be heading out on a world tour, The Mrs. Carter Show.
