Bilal Talks Raising Autistic Son, Dedicates Song

Like Toni Braxton, Bilal is vocal about having a son with Autism. He recently released a song dedicated to his oldedst son who is afflicted with the disorder entitled, "Little One" (from his latest album, Airtight's Revenge).

“I just wanted to do a song for the fathers,” Bilal told The Urban Daily. “People always write songs from a mom’s perspective or to their moms. This is something I did for my children.”

Bilal has been actively trying to raise awarness for the issue and even uses the song's accompanying video to spread the message of hope. Autism is a developmental disorder that appears in the first three years of life, and affects the brain’s normal development of social and communication skills. There are varying degrees of autism and various theories about its origins, but doctors are sure that early detection can make a world of difference. Watch the video below:
