Birdman Updates Fans On Lil Wayne's Condition

Lil Wayne's fans, friends and family are still on high alert after the rapper was admitted to Cedars-Sinai hospital following a seizure attack last Tuesday (Mar. 12).

Multiple members of the Cash Money family, including YMCMB president and Weezy's childhood friend Mack Maine, have denied TMZ's initial reports of the rapper being in a coma and close to death. But as more questions and rumors continue to plague the rap blogs, Birdman called into Hot97's Angie Martinez for an official update on Wayne's condition.

Baby tells the radio host Weezy is recuperating and should be released from the hospital any day now. He also denied that Weezy's latest health scare was caused by drugs and says Wayne was never in a coma.

"It didn't have nothing to do with drugs, "Birdman tells Angie. No such thing like that. To me, it's how he works. He works around the clock, he's just a hard grinder for this music. But it wasn't nothing about no drugs. He just needs to get some rest and relax. He'll be back normal like anybody else."
