RIM Debuts Blackberry 10 and Two New Phones
Listen up former Crackberry owners. All is not lost. Research in Motion (RIM) has unveiled the Blackberry 10 in an effort to compete with Apple’s iPhone. According to the LA Times, RIM will release the BlackBerry 10 operating system and two phones: the Z10, a touch screen only device, and the Q10, which seems to be an upgrade to the traditional Blackberry.
The new operating system is said to combine RIM’s known strength — their e-mail platform — while finally catching up to the iPhone with a speedy browser. Unfortunately, the Canadian company can’t seem to catch a break. Tech sites are already pointing out some flaws. Information Week praises the new ‘berry for hardware and availability — AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile USA, and Verizon Wireless will all carry the new phones. However, Instagram users are ish out of luck.
