This past Monday, B.o.B’s anticipated Eminem collaboration “Airplanes II” finally leaked as the rock tinged track—which also features Paramore frontwoman Hayley Wiilliams—has created plenty of buzz.
But the Atlanta rhymer, whose long-delayed debut, B.o.B Presents: The Adventures of Bobby Ray, is set for April 27, says the surprise union with Slim Shady would not have happened without one key person.
“Honestly, [Eminem manager’s] Paul Rosenburg played him some of my music over a period of time and he kind of grew to like it,” B.o.B tells VIBE. “And eventually Eminem wanted to work with me. He was like, ‘I want to get into the studio with you.’”
B.o.B adds that once he got into the studio with Eminem, he was impressed by the superstar’s refreshingly humble attitude. “He didn’t necessarily want to jump on any tracks,” B.o.B says. “He just wanted to vibe. This is Eminem. That blew my mind!”
