Bobbi Kristina, the daughter of Bobby Brown and late singer Whitney Houston, and Nick Gordon have officially tied the knot. The newly wedded couple, who has tried to dodge controversy surrounding their relationship since rumors of their engagement sparked in 2012, took to timelines to make the announcement.
"#HappilyMarried• SO#Inlove• if you didn't get it the first time that is," Kristina, 20, tweeted Thursday night (Jan. 9) along with a photo of their rings (below).
Gordon, 24, first denied their romance back in July during a promo for the short-lived reality show The Houstons: On Our Own, tweeting Were not engaged or dating ... Just close like we have always been."
The blushing bride also clarified rumors of her groom being Houston's adoptive son. "[We're not] real brother and sister, nor is he my adoptive brother. My mom never adopted him," she wrote in a Facebook post. "In fact, mommy was the one who even said that she knew that we were going to start dating."
She continued, "You may or may not agree with my relationship. You may or may not respect it. Judge me, go ahead. Your opinions are yours and mine are mine. It is my life and not yours. The decisions I make have nothing to do with you."
Congratulations to the happy pair.
