You thought G.O.O.D. Fridays were the only reason to say TGIF? Well it’s about that time…. We’re locked, loaded, and ready to squeeze off some riddimatic Boomshots. Just got back from Atlanta on the red-eye. It wasn’t such a late flight, but we were up half the night at the Soul Train Awards taping and then had a chance to speak with Gyptian right before flying out, so you done know… “I come all the way from a place called Jamaica,” he said during his acceptance speech after collecting the trophy for Best Reggae Artist. (Big shout to fellow nominees Gramps Morgan, Mr. Vegas, who were also in the building. The other contenders in the category—Jah Cure, Vybz Kartel, and Junior Gong were unable to attend for a variety of reasons.)  Before stepping off the podium Gyptian promised “this is just the beginning.” So with that in mind, check out his follow-up to “Hold Yuh,” titled, appropriately enough “Nah Let Go.” Jon FX on the track, Ras Kassa on the video. Let it go…

Next up is Ricky Blaze, the man who built Gyptian’s smash hit “Hold Yuh” in his Brooklyn basement studio. (And he liked the track so much he did his own version.) If you’re tuned in to Wah Gwaan Radio, then you know Ricky Blaze has been in the game a long while now. But he’s never felt more free than on this Refix, featuring Jim Jones and Nicki Minaj. Send three more bottles to table five…

Last but not least is a new dance craze from some gents who know a thing or two about busting the dance Serani featuring Ding Dong, Raz & Biggy. It’s called “Skip To My Luu” and it’s blowing up just like they thought it would. Judging from the global shoutouts on this track—”London! Dubai! Costa Rica! Yo, Beijing stand up!”—this tune is part of a serious plan for global domination. Stay tuned for further instructions. Just make sure you don’t skip this one…

Love that? I know you did. Just remember to Support Reggae Music. That limewire stuff is dead… iTunes a dweet: Gyptian “Nah Let Go” Serani feat Ding Dong “Skip to My Luu”
