The Reason It Worked: Because Mos is most definitely not a gangsta rapper. Given hip-hop’s troubled history when it comes to guns and violence, there’s nothing particularly funny about it—unless, of course, you parody the hell out of it and make it seem so ridiculous that it actually is.

The Celebrity: Xzibit as himself

The Appearance: “The Real” (Season 1, Episode 8)

The Reason It Worked: Because Mr. X to the Z’s act on MTV’s hit show, Pimp My Ride, has always been a little bit ludicrous to us. Couple that with a plot that includes Riley hatching a plan to get Granddad to pretend he’s blind in order to get his car tricked out and the jokes just hit on all cylinders.
