College basketball hooper Maya Moore and her fellow UConn Huskies didn't take home the NCAA Championship, but please believe she's winning with her new endorsement deal with Jordan. The Nike imprint has chosen the 22-year-old forward as the first female to represent the brand with excitement and the hopes of taking "her success to the next level."
As Maya gears up for her first professional year with the Minnesota Lynx (first draft pick, of course), she's honored to also be entering new ventures with Jordan.
“As a student of the game, it is a dream come true to align myself with a brand that has a rich history in sports. Like most kids, I grew up idolizing Michael Jordan and continue to work relentlessly to reach his iconic status on the court. I’m truly motivated to take my career to the next level as a member of Team Jordan,” says Moore.
She will join Derek Jeter, Dwyane Wade, Carmelo Anthony, Chris Paul and Andre Johnson on the Jordan roster.
